Bus Shunter
Salary: $28.35 to $35.85 an hour
Location: Hamilton
Who Should Apply: You need a valid Ontario G driver’s license with the ability to get a C driver’s license and a Z endorsement.
Verbal communication skills to be able to assist customers and emergency services are required as well.
You must be able to lift eight to 20 kilograms and push eight to 25 kilograms on a daily basis.

Supervisor, Bus Garage Operations
Salary: $88,758 to $120,634
Location: Streetsville
Who Should Apply: You need a high school diploma (or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience) and years of experience as a Truck and Coach Technician.
Also, you must have a valid Ontario G driver’s license (with the ability to obtain a class C with a Z endorsement) and a valid Truck and Coach Technician (310T) certification with Interprovincial Red Seal.
Knowledge of heavy transit vehicle maintenance and repair, proficiency in the reading of schematics and transit and mechanical technology, and knowledge of garage management practices and preventative maintenance theory.
310T Mechanic
Salary: $39.23 to $45.10 an hour
Location: Oshawa and Streetsville
Who Should Apply: You need certification as a Truck and Coach Technician (310T designation, Interprovincial/Provincial Status) and one year of experience as a Truck and Coach Technician (310T designation) in transit/highway bus or heavy-duty repair.
It’s required that you have detailed knowledge of heavy transit and highway bus maintenance/repair, manufacturers’ specifications/schematics, MTO specifications/requirements for bus inspection, and transit/mechanical technology.
You must have a valid Ontario G driver’s license (with the ability to obtain a C driver’s license and Z endorsement).

Who Should Apply: You need a diploma in business administration, transportation or a related field along with four years of experience in a transportation control center or related work environment.
Also, you need organizational, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills to manage changing service priorities and respond to evolving emergency situations.
It’s required that you’re proficient in computer software applications like Microsoft Word and Excel.

Who Should Apply: You need a university degree in civil engineering (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).

You must also have oral, written/presentation, and interpersonal skills in a team environment and a valid Ontario G driver’s license.

Who Should Apply: You need at least six months of experience in a computerized automotive, heavy truck or bus store environment (including shipping, receiving and inventory control) that would give you:
- technical understanding of bus maintenance practices and ability to use bus manufacturer spare parts and service manuals to assist Coach Technicians with repairs
- knowledge of accepted inventory control practices
You must have a valid Ontario G driver’s license and be able to obtain a GO Transit Forklift driving certificate and GO Transit Equipment Operator’s Permit.
This job also requires reading, writing and learning skills normally attained through completion of grade 10.
