Sauble Beach is a postcard-worthy community tucked away on the shores of Lake Huron.
According to the website, it’s home to « Canada’s best freshwater beach » with a stunning 11-kilometre stretch of white sand shoreline.
You’ll feel like you’re on a tropical vacation as you relax on the velvety shores and enjoy the beach town charm. Sauble is even referred to as « The Daytona of the North, » according to Explore the Bruce, so you can expect some Flordia vibes at this spot.
You can spend your getaway lounging on the white sand shores and splashing through the shimmering waters. Every August, the town hosts Sandfest, which is complete with live entertainment and giant sand sculptures.
Once you’ve had your beach fill, you can spend some time exploring the quaint little shops dotted along the coast. From ice cream parlours to home decor, there are many charming boutiques to discover.
If you’re looking for delicious food with a side of California vibes, you can head to Heydays Restaurant in the June Motel. The venue has a poolside patio and retro decor that will transport you to another era.
