The Globe and Mail recently unveiled its 2024 list of « Canada’s Most Livable Cities« , designed to « help readers identify communities where they could thrive. »
To create the ranking, The Globe and Mail looked at 448 communities nationwide, using 50 factors across 10 categories, such as transportation, amenities, and housing.
Among the 100 cities featured on the list, this Ontario town landed at nineteenth.
Erin is a charming rural village located about an hour from Toronto. According to the website, you’ll find « lush rolling countryside, meandering rivers, small settlement areas and quaint village settings » when visiting this spot.
The area is known for its shopping experiences and the downtown features « a medley of adorable shops and lovingly preserved buildings » where you can find all sorts of unique treasures. From clothing at Hannah’s of Erin to handmade sweet treats from Debora’s Chocolates, Erin has something for everyone.
The town hosts lots of fun events year-round, including the Erin Fall Fair and holiday-themed Window Wonderland.
It’s a great spot to be if you love the outdoors. « From hiking trails to ball diamonds, snowmobiling, outdoor soccer to tennis, residents of the Town of Erin enjoy lots of activities to keep them fit, » the website states.
