Canada's highest suspension bridge is in BC and floats you above a canyon with a waterfall

This small town in B.C. is home to the two highest suspension bridges in Canada, which lets you float above a deep canyon with mountain ranges surrounding it. A lush forest trail connects the bridges, and a waterfall cascades below them, creating a magical view.

You’ll find this scenic adventure in Golden B.C., a community in the heart of nature, surrounded by six stunning national parks and breathtaking landscapes. It’s ripe for exploration and Golden Skybridge is one of the bucket-list experiences here.

Golden Skybridge is where you’ll find the suspension bridges, which on their own would be a sight to take in but are made even more awe-inspiring by the views of the Columbia Valley paired with the Pock and Purcell mountain ranges.

The trail here is peaceful, taking you through the untouched nature of the forest to the suspension bridges above a rushing waterfall that cascades beneath the canyon walls.

The first bridge is 130 metres high and 150 metres long, and the second is 80 metres high and 140 metres long, according to the Banff Jasper Collection website.

Your heart will race as you step out onto the bridge here and float high above the impressive canyon. If that doesn’t do the trick, though, there are some other thrilling activities here. The Railride Mountain Coaster will zip you through the forest and along the edge of the canyon, and the zipline with fly you through the sky.

If you buy an Adventure Pass for $100 (the price varies depending on when you go), you’ll get entry to the Sky Bridge, along with a ride on the mountain coaster, access to the Canyon Edge Course, a zipline ride, axe throwing, and access to the climbing wall. You can also just buy Sky Bridge access for $44.99.

The Golden Skybridge opens on May 2, so if you’re planning your summer activities already, add this to your list.
